Flying adrone in cold weather (5°C and below)
It's important to keep the drone at outdoor temperature, and to allow time forac climatization before flying. Why is this? Because the gyroscope, magnetometer and barometer are sensitive to temperature variations. This is why they need tobe temperature-compensated for proper operation.
Yourbatteries
Yourbatteries should be kept warm before use.
Never use abattery that is too cold.
A battery that gives 100% of its capacity at 27°C may only give 50% at -20°C!
Did you know that it's even possible for your charger to refuse to charge a battery that's too cold?
Be careful not to charge a battery that is below 0°C, as the battery will charge normally in appearance, but in reality it will become brittle.
What'smore, the drone may refuse to arm if the battery temperature is too low.
Unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer, the LIPO battery should be charged ata temperature between 0°C and 40°C.
LIPO batteries should not be stored at temperatures below 0°C.
Finally, always follow the manufacturer's instructions!
